Video and Feature Production
Organizational Videos / Documentary Shorts
Compelling video content now drives much of our communication. Video content ranging from amateur to professional are used for web and social media sites, mobile device applications, traditional screenings and presentations, educational channels and all sorts of news delivery vehicles.
But that is all meaningless without compelling content. As with all successful communications, there are two keys to successful video content and a successful production:
- You must approach your content with clear objectives and strategy. This means knowing your audience and understanding exactly what you want them to take away.
- Exceptional storytelling. If a picture is “worth a thousand words,” then a video simply moves beyond the capacity of words. Video incorporates the power of persuasion, multimedia formats, and non-verbal cues to deliver an emotional connection for a viewer.
Chris Perez has produced dozens of videos ranging from sales and marketing tools to pure entertainment. We combine powerful writing with accomplished videography to offer creative video content for any use. Quite simply, bringing a marketing sensibility to video production just makes a lot of sense!
Independent Feature Films
Apart from my experience producing organizational videos, I have also served in a producer capacity for two independent features, written and directed by fellow USC graduate Michael Rissi. In 2000, I served as Executive Producer for his thriller “Up Against Amanda” and helped secure distribution with Roger Corman’s New Concorde Pictures.
More recently, I served as Producer for “Edgar Allan Poe’s Annabel Lee,” a suspense thriller based on one of the macabre writer’s most well-known and beloved poems. This film is currently screening in various film festivals and seeking distribution; further information can be found at our website: www.annabelleemovie.com
While these projects fall outside the normal scope of marketing and public relations, what has become obvious to me is that the skill set of managing large-scale campaigns and/or events is the perfect prerequisite for serving in the film producer role. I approach filmmaking with the same strategy and management mindset that I bring to any organizational project.
